Hydro Excavation Pothole Repair

A pothole is a depression in a road surface, often caused by wear and tear or weathering.

Hydro excavation is a method of excavating using high-pressure water to break up soil, which is then vacuumed up. In the context of pothole repair, hydro excavation could be used to remove the soil from the pothole, allowing for it to be filled with new materials and repaired.

This method is useful because it is non-destructive and precise, minimizing the damage to the surrounding area.

Replacement water filter

A pressure washer water filter is a device that is used to remove impurities from the water that is used in a pressure washer. These impurities can include dirt, sediment, and other particles that can damage the pressure washer over time or affect the quality of the cleaning.

The filter typically attaches to the water inlet of the pressure washer and uses a fine mesh stainless steel to trap the impurities before they enter the machine.

Rotating nozzles, also known as turbo nozzles, can be significantly

Rotating nozzles, also known as turbo nozzles, can be significantly faster than regular pressure washer nozzles when it comes to cleaning certain types of surfaces. This is because they use a spinning action to create a more intense and concentrated stream of water that is better able to remove paint stripping, dirt, grime, mold, and other types of unwanted buildup.

The 25 degree spinning action of the nozzle causes the water to rotate and create a fan like spray pattern, that can cover larger area in less time. This fan-like spray pattern can also be adjusted to focus more on the surface to be cleaned for a more intense clean of a zero degree blast nozzle.

The pressure washing speed increase can vary depending on the type of surface being cleaned, the size of the surface and other factors like pressure, water flow and nozzle orifice size. However, it is safe to say that, generally, rotating nozzles can clean surfaces 4 times faster than regular nozzles, due to the more intense and concentrated stream of water they produce.

Keep in mind that Rotating nozzles tend to have a much higher price point, and may not be appropriate for all cleaning task. They may also wear out faster than a standard nozzle, because of the mechanical component that spins, so they may need more maintenance. Rotating nozzles are rebuild-able.

When using a rotating nozzle always point the nozzle down towards the floor before engaging the trigger. Always wear protective safety gear when using your Water Cannon rotating nozzle.

How to maintain a soap injector on a pressure washer

Chemical - Foam Injectors

To maintain a soap injection on a pressure washer, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure the pressure washer is turned off or unplugged before performing any maintenance.
  2. Locate the soap injection system, which is typically found near the outlet of the high pressure pump.
  3. Remove the chemical intake hose and filter to ensure they are free of obstruction or dried soap residue.
  4. Inspect the nozzle or injector for any clogs or blockages. If you find any, use a small brush or needle to clear them out.
  5. Check the hoses and connections for any leaks or damage. If any are found, replace them as necessary.
  6. Turn on the pressure washer and test the soap injection system using the large orifice black soap nozzle to make sure it is working properly.
  7. Repeat these steps on a regular basis to ensure that the soap injection system is always in good working order.
It's also important to note that you should always use the correct type of soap for your pressure washer, as using an incorrect soap can damage the machine or make it less effective.

Maintaining your pressure washer

Maintaining your Pressure Washer

Maintaining your pressure washer is important for a number of reasons. First and foremost, regular maintenance will ensure that your pressure washer continues to work properly and efficiently. This means that it will be able to clean surfaces effectively and efficiently, without wasting water or energy.

Another reason to maintain your pressure washer is to extend its lifespan. By regularly cleaning and replacing worn parts, you can prevent major problems from developing that could ultimately lead to the need for a new pressure washer. This can save you money in the long run, as well as the hassle of having to replace your pressure washer prematurely.

Maintaining your pressure washer can also help to prevent accidents and injuries. A well-maintained pressure washer is less likely to experience sudden malfunctions, such as hose bursts or loss of pressure, which can be dangerous. Regular maintenance can also help you to identify and fix potential problems before they become serious.

Finally, maintaining your pressure washer is important for the environment. A well-maintained pressure washer will use less water and energy, which can help to reduce your carbon footprint and conserve natural resources. This can be especially important if you use your pressure washer frequently or for large cleaning tasks.

In conclusion, maintaining your pressure washer is essential for ensuring its proper function, extending its lifespan, preventing accidents and injuries, and protecting the environment. By regularly cleaning and replacing worn parts, you can keep your pressure washer in good working condition and ensure that it continues to serve you well for years to come.

Here are a few tips on how to maintain a pressure washer triplex pump:

A pressure washer triplex pump is an important component of a pressure washing system, as it generates the high-pressure water flow that is used to clean surfaces. Proper maintenance of the pump is crucial to ensure that it continues to function effectively and to prolong its lifespan. Here are a few tips on how to maintain a pressure washer triplex pump:

Pressure washers Pumps

1. Keep the pump lubricated: Triplex pumps rely on oil to lubricate the moving parts and to help dissipate heat. It is important to check the oil level regularly and to add oil as needed. The type of oil used in the pump should be specified in the owner's manual, and it should be a high-quality oil designed for use in pressure washer pumps.

2. Flush the pump after each use: To prevent debris and other contaminants from building up in the pump, it is important to flush it out with clean water after each use. To do this, simply run the pressure washer for a few minutes with the nozzle removed and the water supply turned off. This will force any debris out of the pump and help to prevent damage.

3. Keep the inlet water filter clean: A dirty water filter can restrict water flow, causing the pump to work harder than it should. This can lead to reduced performance and increased wear. To keep the inlet water filter clean, inspect it regularly, and clean or replace it as needed.

4. Check for leaks: Leaks in the pump can allow water and oil to escape, which can lead to damage and reduced performance. Inspect the pump and hoses regularly for any signs of leaks, and repair or replace any parts that are found to be leaking.

5. Store the pressure washer properly: When not in use, it is important to store the pressure washer in a dry place, protected from the elements. This will help to prevent rust and other forms of damage.

By following these tips, you can help ensure that your pressure washer triplex pump continues to function properly and lasts for many years. It's also important to read the manufacturer manual guide and follow the recommended schedule for more specific maintenance and troubleshooting procedure if needed.

Pressure Gauge

Pressure Gauge

Pressure Gauges with a Plexiglass crystal face are offered in several sizes of gauge between 1,000 PSI and 10,000 PSI in bottom mount. Once installed, this device effectively measures running pressure and catches spikes that occur when your gun trigger is released or engaged.

A primary fixed location is most commonly found immediately after the pump or on an unloader port to measure 'Pressure at the Pump' and catch pressure spikes. This location will also alert you of cavitation in pump that you may not hear or feel. The needle on the gauge will bounce and appear to be trembling

A second, temporary position is at the base of the spray gun for intermittent checking of pressure  to ensure your nozzle does not need to be replaced. This will also catch pressure spikes and alert you of pressure changes over time as your nozzle enlarges due to wear.
