Dumb ways to get hurt with a pressure washer

How to use a pressure washer

Using a pressure washer can be dangerous if proper safety precautions are not taken. Here are a few examples of "dumb" ways someone could get hurt while using a pressure washer:

1.Pointing the nozzle at someone: The high-pressure water stream can cause serious injury or even death if it hits someone in the face or chest.

2.Not wearing proper eye and ear protection: The high-pressure water stream can cause damage to the eyes and ears if proper protection is not worn.

3.Not properly securing the hose: If the hose is not properly secured, it can whip around and cause injury to the person using the pressure washer or to others nearby.

4.Using a pressure washer on an unstable surface: If the person using the pressure washer is standing on an unstable surface, they could slip or fall, causing injury.

5.Not properly maintaining the pressure washer: If the pressure washer is not properly maintained, it could malfunction and cause injury.

6.Using pressure washer on electrical equipment, or near electrical sources, with out making sure everything is properly grounded and isolated.

7.Using the pressure washer for cleaning chemicals or flammable liquids, which can cause an explosion or fire hazard.

8.Refuelling the gas powered engine while the engine is still running which can cause a flash fire.

9.Accidentally touching the muffler during operation or while the engine is still hot can cause a servers burn.

10.Making a repair to the pump plumbing using low pressure pipe fittings.

11.Wearing open toe shoes or flip flops can leave the operator prone to slip and fall. High pressure should never come in contact with any body part or exposed skin. Non slip work boots are recommended.

It's important to always read the instruction manual and follow the manufacturer's recommendations for safe use and operation of the pressure washer.

Paint preparation process

Painters often use Water Cannon pressure washers as a part of the paint preparation process because they are an effective and efficient way to remove dirt, grime, and other types of buildup from surfaces prior to painting.

1. The high-pressure water stream and a Water Cannon rotating nozzle can blast away loose paint, dirt, dust, cobwebs, and other debris that can prevent paint from adhering properly to the surface.

2. Water Cannon Pressure washers can also be used to remove old paint, peeling paint, and other coatings from surfaces prior to painting. This can be especially useful for exterior surfaces, such as buildings, decks, and fences, where the paint may have become faded, chipped, or otherwise degraded over time.

3. Water Cannon Pressure washers can also be used to remove moss, mildew, and other types of vegetation from surfaces prior to painting. These organisms can cause damage to the surface and also interfere with the adhesion of paint.

4. By using Water Cannon pressure washers and rotating nozzle to prepare surfaces for painting, painters can ensure that the surface is free of dirt, grime, and other contaminants that could interfere with the proper adhesion of the paint. This can help to improve the appearance of the final paint job and also help to prolong the life of the paint.

5. Additionally, it is quicker and less labor intensive than traditional cleaning methods like scraping and sanding.
